I have been very lucky, for several years, to accompany Sixth Form students on their Educational Study Tour to The Gambia.

Lord Williams's School, in Thame, Oxfordshire, is linked with Brikama Upper Basic School.

During my visits there I have become aware of just how important education is for the future of Gambian children and their families.

My dear friend Mucki Bojang and I have created this charity and to date we are helping in the region of 400 children to gain an education.

Many families cannot afford to send their children to school. Our aim is to better the lives of the poorest families and in doing so, give hope and a future to them.
